How do I add fractions?
Find a common denominator, convert both fractions, then add the numerators. For example: 1/3 + 1/4 = 4/12 + 3/12 = 7/12.
How do I convert a fraction to a decimal?
Divide the numerator by the denominator. For example, 3/4 = 3 divided by 4 = 0.75. To convert to a percentage, multiply the decimal by 100.
Is the result simplified automatically?
Yes. The calculator divides the numerator and denominator of the result by their greatest common divisor (GCD) and also shows the decimal value. Example: 1/6 + 1/3 first gives 9/18; the calculator displays the simplified fraction 1/2 with the decimal value 0.5.
