How many days does 2026 have?
2026 is not a leap year and has 365 days. The next leap year is 2028 (366 days).
How do I calculate legal deadlines correctly?
Under § 187(1) BGB the day of the triggering event is not counted. A 14-day period starting 1 March therefore ends at the end of 15 March. If that day is a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, the deadline ends on the next working day (§ 193 BGB) – in 2026, 15 March is a Sunday, so the deadline runs until Monday, 16 March. Check whether calendar or working days apply.
How do I calculate my age in days?
Enter your birthday as the start date and today as the end date. The calculator shows your life in days. On your 30th birthday it is 10,957 or 10,958 days (30 × 365 days plus 7 or 8 leap days).
Is the start date counted in the day difference?
It depends on the context. For deadlines the day of the event is not counted; the period starts the next day (§ 187(1) BGB) – this is the calculator's default counting method. For age, by contrast, the day of birth counts (§ 187(2) BGB). For holiday or stay days tick "Count both start and end date": then both days count (+1).

The days calculator computes the number of days between two dates and finds a date by adding or subtracting days. It accounts for leap years, shows the weekdays and counts Monday-to-Friday and weekend days.
How does the Day Calculator work?
Mode "Days between two dates": enter a start and end date – the calculator shows the difference in days, in weeks plus remaining days and in years, months and days, plus the Monday-to-Friday and weekend days. By default the start day is not counted and the end day is; with "Count both start and end date" one day is added. Mode "Date ± days": enter a start date and a number of days (negative to go back) to get the target date with its weekday. Public holidays are not deducted.

Calculation Example
1 January to 31 December 2026: 364 days difference, 365 days counting both start and end day (not a leap year), of which 261 are Monday to Friday. Right of withdrawal: contract concluded online on Sunday, 15 March 2026 – 14 days later would be Sunday, 29 March; under § 193 BGB the deadline only ends on Monday, 30 March 2026. Holiday from 15 July to 2 August 2026: 18 days difference (18 nights), 19 days including the travel days, 13 of them Monday to Friday.
